Introduction
Age is just a number, but my number is growing at what seems like an ever increasing rate. All being well, I shall reach 70 in March of 2027, and that eighth decade is critical to how the rest of my life is likely to play out. According to discussions on Reddit, " entering your seventies is often described as a time of reflection, prioritizing comfort and convenience, and focusing on spending quality time with loved ones, while leaving your seventies can bring a heightened awareness of mortality and a desire to make the most of remaining time, with many individuals still actively enjoying life and pursuing hobbies, depending on their health and circumstances. " With a couple of years to go, my plan is to establish some good habits in the three key healthy lifestyle factors of sleep, exercise, and diet and enter my seventies at a healthy weight.
